CoreBlimey- and the best waterbottle ever!

So Sunday was spent at  Core bike show, an annual event where independent distributors showcase new products. It's always nice to see 'in the flesh' the new bikes and accessories we're waiting to arrive and the cool new stuff yet to be released.

As always our favourite room is the one with Surly, Salsa, Civia and All City bikes.
From Salsa the Mariachi in it's new green colourway looks stunning,  the Mamasita, Spearfish and Horsethief look ready to devour any trail you throw at them and the Fargo, well the Fargo's still different to anything else that's out there.

New from Surly is the Pacer in Sparkleboogie Blue, Long Haul Trucker in super dark green and the Mighty Ogre- the one on show sporting a very nice build with a Rohloff- possibly the ultimate low maintainence trail bike.

My favourite thing at the show however was a water bottle, made by Vincero design  this rather neat design uses a very powerful magnet on a carbon bracket that attaches to the frame by the bottle mounts to 'mate' to the magnet on the bottle. Amazingly simple and easy to use- plus if you're out on your bike without a bottle no more bottle cages to spoil the lines of your bike.
Cost is £33 for both bottle and mount plus it weighs and costs much less than a carbon cage- brilliant!

Mount on bike.

   Bottles on mounts - Simple!

and finally....

You may not need these but lots of people will probably want them. Carbon fat bike forks from White Brothers - a treat for your Salsa Mukluk?

see you next year,
Rich.
